Tusk in the Sun

I may have splurged a little on this shirt. How could I not, though? It's so adorable. After seeing it again and again on my instagram feed I finally gave in. I love it! The Elsa's don't exactly fit me perfectly but going up a size would have made it way too big. I wish there was a petite version! I can make it work though--I love it way too much not to! If I could afford to have Lilly Pulitzer everything, I totally would. Next on my splurge list is her Delia Shift Dress.

P.S. - It's super windy which is why my hair looks so crazy.
P.P.S. - I love this elephant shirt but don't be deceived. I am not a republican. I just think elephants are cute.

Spring Has Sprung

This weather is making me so happy, you guys. I can go outside not only without a jacket, but also while wearing open-toed shoes. I'm taking baby steps towards sandals, and I just cannot wait.

Another great thing about the seasons changing is all the new clothes we all feel obligated to buy. Or maybe that's just me. Yesterday was the first day of spring, so being the predictable person I am, I headed straight for Kohl's and bought this amazing springy dress. I have a thing for dresses with sleeves because I don't like showing my arms, so as soon as I saw this dress I knew I had to have it. It's from the LC Lauren Conrad line which is already my favorite section of Kohl's. It's so soft and comfortable and flattering (if I do say so myself).

I'm also pretty pumped about finally getting my hands on a pink purse. I've been looking for a great pink handbag for quite some time now, and as I was scrolling through Poshmark, I just happened to stumble upon this gorgeous like-new Coach bag for only $50. It is authentic and so freaking adorable. Poshmark is a dangerous place for shopaholics like me, but I love it when I can get amazing deals like this one! Check out my Poshmark closet here. :)

My Out-of-My-Price-Range Wish List

Untitled #4

Do you ever just look at someone's instagram account and think to yourself, "What does she DO for a living?!" I do, pretty much every day. Most of the people I follow on instagram have some pretty enviable stuff. We all know possessions aren't everything (blah blah), but I'm a girl, and sometimes I get overly excited about my possessions, especially fashionable ones. Here's what I've got on my if-I-ever-get-rich list:
  • Louis Vuitton Speedy (25 or 30)
  • A black Chanel crossbody (ANY will do. I'm not picky. Chanel is Chanel.)
  • Louis Vuitton Neverfull (To carry my tiny dog around in, of course.*)
  • Valentino Rockstud heels (because they are beautiful and the Torrid version is sold out)
  • A Celine bag of any kind (but I'm especially fond of this pink one)
  • An authentic Chanel brooch (because Chanel... do I need to explain this one?)
  • Lilly Pulitzer Elsa Top in Tusk in Sun (Okay so I MAY have ordered this yesterday in a weak moment, BUT I am not okay with paying $158 for a shirt on a regular basis. I love this one so it's justified. If I wear it 158 times it will totes be worth it right!?)
  • J. Crew Jeweled Chandelier Sweatshirt (I've loved this and pined for it for so long I can hardly stand it, but once again, $158+ for one shirt/sweatshirt is just too much for me. Some people I follow on instagram have it in both colors and I just want to scream "HOW?! WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING?" but instead I just cry silently and search for this top on eBay.)
On the bright side, I'm in college majoring in accounting. So I'm pretty much guaranteed to be able to afford all this stuff eventually, right?**
*I don't have a tiny dog.
**I'm not actually that optimistic/naive.

The Perfect Match

Can we please take a moment to appreciate how well my boots and purse match? I'm big on matching, if you haven't noticed, and I just happened to be wearing these boots when I came across this Michael Kors Hamilton purse at TJ Maxx. It was a done deal at that point. Love at first sight.

The weather this week is just confusing as can be for me and my poor closet. One day I'm pulling out skirts and short sleeved tops and the next I need my thickest sweaters and scarves. Today the weather is pretty in-between at 54 degrees. I'm hoping it will stay that way because my spring wardrobe is just itching to come out and play.

My Almost Zara Blanket Scarf

I'm still mad at myself for not buying this Zara blanket scarf when I had the chance. It was originally $30, yet they're going on eBay for as much as $100. :( I picked this similar one up for a much more affordable $12.

As much as I love this sweater and scarf combo, I'm so ready for a more springy outfit. It finally seems to be warming up a little around these parts. All I really want to wear is a dress and Jack Rogers sandals.

Just one more tidbit about this outfit--how perfect are these jeans? They are from the LC Lauren Conrad collection at Kohl's. I think they are supposed to be "ankle" length, but since I'm so short, they are the perfect length with just a tiny bit of a "destroyed" look. At first, I was super against the "holes-in-jeans" thing that seems to have recently come back, but if Lauren Conrad is okay with it, then it's something I can get behind. I'm just a little scarred from the Hollister and Abercrombie & Fitch days of middle school. Let's not go there.
