Florals and Mint

As you can probably tell from my outfit, all I want right now is springtime. It's finally starting to warm up, but to tell the truth, I went right inside and put on a sweatshirt after taking these photos. Le sigh.

If you're wondering why I took these photos on my shady back porch... let me just tell you all about it. I bought a tripod and a wireless remote for my camera so that I can take my own outfit pictures without bugging my dear Matt to do it for me. I think they turned out okay but a) it's really hard to hide the remote and b) I don't have a good place to set up the tripod and whatnot unless I go to my front driveway... and I feel like people will judge me. [Yes, I know that's silly.] I think I might get over my fears next time and try it out in the actual sunlight. :)

Tusk in the Sun

I may have splurged a little on this shirt. How could I not, though? It's so adorable. After seeing it again and again on my instagram feed I finally gave in. I love it! The Elsa's don't exactly fit me perfectly but going up a size would have made it way too big. I wish there was a petite version! I can make it work though--I love it way too much not to! If I could afford to have Lilly Pulitzer everything, I totally would. Next on my splurge list is her Delia Shift Dress.

P.S. - It's super windy which is why my hair looks so crazy.
P.P.S. - I love this elephant shirt but don't be deceived. I am not a republican. I just think elephants are cute.

Spring Has Sprung

This weather is making me so happy, you guys. I can go outside not only without a jacket, but also while wearing open-toed shoes. I'm taking baby steps towards sandals, and I just cannot wait.

Another great thing about the seasons changing is all the new clothes we all feel obligated to buy. Or maybe that's just me. Yesterday was the first day of spring, so being the predictable person I am, I headed straight for Kohl's and bought this amazing springy dress. I have a thing for dresses with sleeves because I don't like showing my arms, so as soon as I saw this dress I knew I had to have it. It's from the LC Lauren Conrad line which is already my favorite section of Kohl's. It's so soft and comfortable and flattering (if I do say so myself).

I'm also pretty pumped about finally getting my hands on a pink purse. I've been looking for a great pink handbag for quite some time now, and as I was scrolling through Poshmark, I just happened to stumble upon this gorgeous like-new Coach bag for only $50. It is authentic and so freaking adorable. Poshmark is a dangerous place for shopaholics like me, but I love it when I can get amazing deals like this one! Check out my Poshmark closet here. :)
