Forever 21 Steals!

Long time no see! I haven't posted in ages, but I was inspired to post after a recent experience shopping on Forever 21's website. I tell you what--that place is dangerous. I had a $10 off coupon, but of course you have to spend $50 to get free shipping, and it just escalated from there. I ended up spending like $54, but I wanted to spend so much more! They have so many great designer inspired items at the moment.

What I got:

Maroon skinny jeans, $19.80: I am in love with Forever 21 skinny jeans, and I hope their colored styles fit similarly. I am so happy that Forever 21 has made a style like this--plus size and short. It kind of annoys me that a size 12 is considered a plus size, but nonetheless their size 12/short fits like they were made for me, so I can deal with it. I've been on the hunt for the perfect pair of maroon skinny jeans for the longest time and I'm excited to finally check them off my list.

Ribbon chain necklace, $5.80: If you have an instagram account, chances are you have seen this necklace. Everywhere. On every blog. I adored it the moment I saw it but only saw it sold at the more expensive online jewelry boutiques for $20-40--way more than I'm willing to pay. I'm always looking for jewelry deals, which I usually find on eBay, but this necklace was no where to be found even on eBay, so I can't tell you how excited I was to stumble upon it on Forever 21's website, and for so cheap! I've already got tons of outfits planned for it and it hasn't even shipped yet.

Scalloped Layered Chain Necklace, $8.80: This is what I'm most excited about. As obsessed as I have been with BaubleBar's The Courtney Bib necklace, I just haven't been able to convince myself to spend $68 on it. This is such a great alternative for those of us on a budget!

Leopard Print Crossbody Bag, $22.90: Another great designer inspired item! I mean, I'm not 100% sure if this was supposed to be based off the Michael Kors mini Selma bag, but it looks pretty darn similar to me, but with adorable leopard print on the sides! I love incorporating leopard print during the fall and I have been in need of a black crossbody, so I had no choice but to buy it. No choice.

Faux Gemstone Statement Earrings, $6.80: In this day and age, $7 for statement earrings is pretty much unheard of. They are always so expensive! I am even more excited about this particular pair of statement earrings though, as they are super similar to a gorgeous pair by Loren Hope. As much as I wish I could afford to spend $178 on one pair of earrings, I just cannot. I want to be able to have some cute earrings and afford to eat dinner afterwards, so Forever 21's version it is.

And that concludes everything I purchased. I wanted to buy more, but since I've got a million handbags already, I made myself choose only one to buy and the rest are below (and on my wish list).  But hey, just because I couldn't buy them doesn't mean they don't deserve a spot on the blog. Forever 21 has seriously stepped up their handbag game in my opinion. I know a lot of people don't like that they copy designs, but if you're a college student on a budget, it makes it easy to let that slide. ;)
Buckled Faux Leather Crossbody, $24.90: Phillip Lim for Target, anyone? This looks just like the mini Pashli bag sold at Target this time last year. Those flew off the shelves and have been long sold out, so if you missed out on those, you can get one from Forever 21! Same exact look and it's actually about $10 cheaper than the PL ones were. They also have it in white, cobalt blue, and hunter green. I was really tempted to purchase this black one, but since I'm still in love with my mustard yellow PL one from last year I decided against it...though I may end up getting at least one of these colors before fall ends!

Zippered Faux Leather Satchel, $32.90: I am having some serious inner turmoil over this bag right now. I want it so terribly, but I didn't buy it because a) I've got quite a few cute black handbags b) I just ordered a Tory Burch Robinson tote... in black and c) as much as I love maroon, I can't see myself having a chance to wear a maroon handbag very often. Ugh. I love this style of bag so much, as it looks pretty similar to a Celine luggage tote (which cost thousands). I really wish it came in other colors. I've been wanting a bag this style for quite some time, but I do not need another black bag and I also am not too fond of the maroon one. If only they would come out with a tan, grey, or blue one... In the end, I may buy the black one anyway because it's just so darn cute!
